ESPUMISAN® L decreases the surface tension of gas bubbles, dispersing and disintegrating foam in the digestive tract. This enables gases to be absorbed through the intestinal wall and expelled naturally. Acting solely through physical means, ESPUMISAN® L does not interfere with chemical reactions, and it is pharmacologically and physiologically inert. It has no impact on microbial activity or enzyme function. Additionally, ESPUMISAN® L has no effect on digestion or gastric acidity. It is not metabolized and is eliminated from the body without alteration.
